We have recently heard (through the Edmonton Council of CN Pensioners) of a problem encountered by a pensioner when contacting Johnson Insurance for a quote. The Pensioner was mistakenly told that Johnson is no longer offering a discount to CN Pensioners. We have been advised by Johnson Insurance that this is a mistake. Johnson is still offering a discount to CN Pensioners. It is a glitch in their system and they are working at correcting it. They apologize for any inconvenience.
Great news! CN has recently expanded the Volunteer Grant Program which includes CN Retirees and their families.
- $250 for Youth Amateur Sports In addition just recently introduced, is a new "Refer a CN Friend" incentive to increase the grant money your charity normally receives by just referring an eligible first-time grant recipient to the program between May 25th, 2015 and November 30th, 2015. Their charity will get a CN grant and yours will receive an additional grant equal to the amount it originally qualified for. There are no limits to the number of people you can refer, which meanss no limits to the grants you can accumulate for your charity! For more information and to learn all the details about these enhancements and this program, please visit www.cn.ca/employeevolunteer and start sharing the good news! Just received word from CN that regrettably, there are no more tickets available for Family Day this year. They are all gone.
THANK YOU MIKE CORY -- Fantastic turn out today at our General Meeting to welcome Mike Cory, Senior Vice-President Western Region. Thank you Mike for a great presentation about CN then and now and for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come and spend the afternoon with us! Thank you also to Peter Goodwin and Jamie Boychuk for taking time out of their busy schedule as well. We sincerely appreciate your visit.
And WOW - I think we set a new record for attendance as well as for the most number of first time attendees. Photos have now been posted so visit our Photos page to view them. All for now..... |
