Who Do You Call?

If you have signed up for the Medavie Blue Cross Plan, should you have questions re coverage, administration of the plan, etc, here are the numbers to call:
  • For questions about Enrolling in the Plan, Changing Options, Cancellation of Coverage, Premium Rates, please call 1-866-660-7670.
  • ​For ​Claims issues,  please call the number on the back of your Medavie Blue Cross Card - 1-800-667-4511.
  • Customer Service 1-800-667-4511; extended office hours 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET

​You may also go to the Medavie Blue Cross Group Benefit website www.medaviebc.ca to obtain general information about your Plan and your current coverage, to view your claims and reimbursement history and to print generic claim forms.

Submitting Your Claims
​

You have options to submit your claims - quickly and easily online through eClaims, or by mail or in person.  Click on www.medaviebc.ca or the logo to determine the best way for you.

Mobile App - you can also submit your next claim via their Mobile App.  Click Mobile App for instructions.

You should have it every time you leave the country, and as a Blue Cross Member you are eligible for the first 15 days FREE if you buy Blue Cross Travel Insurance for trips of 16 days or more.  See page 29 in the Blue Cross Manual and then call your local Blue Cross Office.

Whether or not you are a Blue Cross Member, your province provides a number of benefits to seniors, and you should be aware of them.  Click here to see those benefits and also what health benefits you should deduct from your Income Tax.

If you are looking for a service provider for medical alert and fall detection services, we recommend you check out available suppliers for their rates, service capabilities and contractual requirements. As information for your research, HOLO Alert has updated their discount with the CNPA for qualifying members of the Association.  Click here for more detailed information.

Others Tips & Information

Federal Government Dental Program:  Mercer has provided us with a synopsis of the new Dental program which should be available to most of our Pensioners this year and most will probably qualify for some benefit. Here is a link to the synopsis.  

Please ensure you review the details on the program regarding how to apply, what is covered, the income and age levels on eligibility, etc. Also be sure to check with your Oral Health Care provider to see if they will be enrolling in the plan as a service provider.
