Prairie Dog Central Railway

John Almdal
John Almdal was honored in November 2010 when he received a life member award from the Prairie Dog Central Railway. Check out our Photo section in the CN People category, Album "Accomplishments Recognized" to see a picture of John.
Lawrence Webb
Lawrence Webb, retired Machinist, was recognized by the Canadian Blood Society for his blood donations totalling 150 units of whole blood.
Al Donnett
Al Donnet, deceased retired Pipe Fitter, was elected to the Mantioba Sports Hall of Fame. He and his team won the Dominion Soccer Championship in 1954.
Ed Mazur
Ed Mazur, retired Machinist, was inducted into the Manitoba Hall Sports Hall of Fame. His team, The Norwood / St. Boniface Legionnaires were the Canadian Football Champions in 1952.

This memoir written by Karl Olafson, retired Engineering Department, is an interesting read about growing up and life experiences along the railway line. 2008 Inductees into The Canadian Railway Hall of Fame
Three railroaders were inducted into the Canadian Railway Hall of Fame on December 30th, 2008 to mark their milestones as Leader, Hero and for Industry Achievement. They are Steve Harvey, Jim Munsey and the late Keith Hunt. For more information, click here.
